Original job description
Lead quality at a structural steel fabricator serving the Kettering, OH area. As Quality Control Manager, you'll run weld inspection, NDT, documentation, and code compliance for the fabrication shop.
Responsibilities:
- Build and run inspection plans, QC documentation, and NCR/corrective action
- Hold all work to AWS D1.1/D1.5, AISC certification, and project specifications
- Coordinate with production, steel erectors, project managers, and third-party inspectors
- Perform weld inspection and NDT and oversee the inspection team
Requirements:
- UT Level II preferred
- 8+ years of quality control in steel fabrication
- CWI certification
