Quality Control Manager

gpac, a recruiting firm with 30+ years in business, is partnered with a well-established company in the structural steel and metals fabrication industry in the Evansville, IN area. Our client is seeking a QA / QC Manager to lead the quality program and drive consistent, compliant fabrication.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead the company quality program and quality team
• Maintain AISC certification and other program requirements
• Develop and maintain quality procedures, WPSs, and inspection plans
• Drive corrective and preventive actions
• Partner with production and project management on quality performance

Position Essential Job Functions:

• Oversee inspections, testing, and documentation
• Lead internal audits and support customer and AISC audits
• Manage welder qualifications and WPS/PQR records
• Track quality KPIs and report to leadership
• Train employees on quality standards

Position Skills:

• 5+ years of quality experience in structural steel or metal fabrication
• AWS CWI certification strongly preferred
• Experience with the AISC certification program
• Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1 and related codes
• Leadership and training experience
