Quality Control Inspector

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join a precision manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on inspection role for someone who understands CNC machining, tight tolerances, and the importance of catching quality issues before they reach the customer.

The ideal candidate has experience inspecting CNC machined components and is comfortable working with CMMs and standard precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of CNC machined components
  • Operate and perform inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
  • Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and customer specifications
  • Verify dimensional tolerances and document inspection results
  • Identify nonconforming parts and communicate quality concerns with machinists, supervisors, and engineering
  • Support first-piece and in-process inspections
  • Maintain accurate inspection and quality documentation
  • Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions when needed
  • Help maintain calibration and proper use of inspection equipment

Qualifications

  • Previous Quality Control or Quality Inspector experience in a CNC machining or precision manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience operating CMM equipment
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Working knowledge of GD&T
  • Experience with precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Preferred Experience

  • Experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined components
  • CMM programming experience
  • Experience with PC-DMIS or similar CMM software
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality systems
  • Experience with first article inspections and inspection reports

What We’re Looking For

We want someone who understands machining and quality from the shop floor. You should be comfortable working directly with CNC machinists, reviewing parts against prints, identifying problems, and helping the team produce quality parts the first time.

This is a full-time, on-site position with an established precision manufacturing operation.
