Original job description

The Salt Lake Valley has turned into one of the most exciting places in the country to build data centers, with new campuses rising on the west side of the city. A respected general contractor is adding a Project Manager to its mission-critical team here, and they'd love to meet someone who enjoys complex work, good people and a mountain view on the drive in.

What You'll Do

  • Lead data center projects from preconstruction and buyout all the way through commissioning and turnover
  • Own the budget, schedule, cost forecasting, change orders and monthly billing
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with owners, design teams and trade partners
  • Coordinate procurement of long-lead gear like switchgear, generators, UPS systems and chillers
  • Partner with superintendents on safety, quality, site logistics and energization milestones
  • Coach and grow the project engineers and assistant project managers on your team

What You Bring

  • Project management experience with a general contractor, including data center or mission-critical construction (required)
  • A solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, MEP coordination and integrated systems testing
  • A history of bringing projects in safely, on schedule and on budget
  • Great organization, clear communication and a collaborative, can-do attitude
  • A degree in construction management, engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience

What We Offer

Competitive salary, bonus and benefits, a long pipeline of mission-critical work across the Wasatch Front, and real room to grow your career.
