Original job description
Santa Clara sits at the heart of Silicon Valley's data center scene, where tight sites, heavy power and fast schedules keep every project interesting. A respected general contractor is looking for a Project Manager to lead data center builds and upgrades across the South Bay. If you enjoy solving tricky logistics and working with people who genuinely support each other, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Run data center projects from early planning and buyout through commissioning and turnover
- Own the budget, forecasts, change orders and schedule, and keep them current
- Work closely with owners, architects, engineers and electrical and mechanical trade partners
- Team up with superintendents to keep jobsites safe, clean and on track
- Mentor assistant project managers and project engineers as they grow
- Give owners straightforward updates on progress, risks and next steps
What You Bring
- Project management experience with a general contractor, including data center or mission-critical work (required)
- Familiarity with critical power, cooling systems, dense MEP coordination and phased turnovers
- Strong scheduling, cost control and documentation habits
- A friendly, collaborative style and clear communication
- A degree in construction management, engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
What We Offer
Salary range of $125,000–$170,000, plus bonus and benefits, a strong backlog of mission-critical work in the Bay Area, and a team that invests in your growth.
