Key Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design development and construction documentation for commercial projects.

• Coordinate architectural plans, specifications, and design details with engineering consultants and other project stakeholders.

• Collaborate with project managers, estimators, superintendents, and field teams to ensure designs align with project budgets, schedules, and constructability requirements.

• Review drawings and specifications to identify design conflicts, inconsistencies, and potential construction challenges.

• Participate in preconstruction planning, design coordination meetings, and project reviews.

• Communicate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

• Ensure architectural documents comply with applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, and industry standards.

• Assist with permitting, plan reviews, and responses to requests for information (RFIs).

• Evaluate proposed design changes and assist with resolving field-related design issues.

• Support quality assurance and quality control throughout design and construction.

• Manage multiple projects while maintaining documentation accuracy, deadlines, and project standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Architecture or a related field.

• Professional architectural license preferred or required, depending on project responsibilities.

• 5+ years of experience in architecture, design coordination, or commercial construction.

• Experience with commercial, industrial, manufacturing, municipal, medical, aviation, or retail projects preferred.

• Strong understanding of construction documents, building systems, building codes, and construction processes.

• Experience coordinating with general contractors, engineering consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with additional design and construction software is beneficial.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet project deadlines.
