Original job description

About the role: We are looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead our metal fabrication and welding team. In this role, you will run the daily shift operations, keep our shop floor safe, and make sure custom industrial machinery is built high-quality and on time. If you are a natural leader with a strong background in heavy manufacturing, welding, or machining, we want to hear from you.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the Team: Directly manage, train, and support a crew of welders, fabricators, and machine operators.
  • Hit Production Goals: Plan the daily shift schedule and assign work to ensure production deadlines are met.
  • Keep People Safe: Enforce all safety rules, OSHA standards, and proper protective gear (PPE) usage on the floor.
  • Check Quality: Review technical blueprints and inspect parts to guarantee everything meets exact customer specs.
  • Fix Bottlenecks: Find ways to cut down on material waste, reduce downtime, and improve shop floor efficiency using 5S or Lean methods.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: 2 to 5+ years of supervisor experience in a heavy metal fabrication, welding, or machining shop.
  • Skills: Strong ability to read complex blueprints, welding symbols, and industrial drawings.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using computer software to log production data, track labor hours, and manage inventory.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required. A technical degree or AWS welding certifications are a major plus.
  • Physical Ability: Able to stand and walk around a loud, active factory floor for an entire shift, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs

Must be able to legally work in the United States without restriction.

Send your resume confidentially to dawn.ziviello@gogpac.com or call/text: 814-217-8588.
