Production Supervisor – Manufacturing (Full-Time)
Location: Tennessee Industry: Manufacturing / Industrial Production Schedule: Full-time | 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Shift
📌 Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations and support a high-performance production team. This role oversees workflow, monitors quality and safety standards, and ensures production goals are met efficiently and consistently.
Ideal candidates are strong communicators, hands-on leaders, and committed to continuous improvement within a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production employees
- Assign work, monitor performance, and ensure shift goals are achieved
- Train, coach, and develop team members to promote operational excellence
- Enforce safety policies, PPE requirements, and OSHA standards
- Oversee quality checks and ensure products meet specifications
- Troubleshoot operational issues and collaborate with maintenance when needed
- Maintain accurate production reports, shift logs, and KPI tracking
- Drive 5S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations
- Communicate effectively with management, maintenance, and other departments
✔️ Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of supervisory or lead experience in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and safety practices
- Proven leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and implement solutions
- Comfortable standing/walking for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends or overtime as needed
⭐ Preferred Skills
- Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or Six Sigma
- ERP/MRP experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Experience in automotive, industrial, or high-volume manufacturing
