Production Manager

gpac, a recruiting firm with 30+ years in business, is partnered with a well-established company in the structural steel and metals fabrication industry in the West Palm Beach, FL area. Our client is seeking a Production Manager to plan and lead fabrication production and drive on-time delivery.

Position Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule shop production to meet project deadlines
• Lead production supervisors and foremen
• Drive safety, quality, and productivity performance
• Coordinate material flow with purchasing and project management
• Identify and implement process improvements

Position Essential Job Functions:

• Create and maintain production schedules and capacity plans
• Track labor hours, throughput, and on-time delivery
• Resolve production bottlenecks and equipment issues
• Support quality inspections and AISC program requirements
• Report production performance to plant leadership

Position Skills:

• 5+ years of production experience in steel fabrication or metal manufacturing
• Supervisory or management experience
• Strong ability to read shop drawings
• Knowledge of welding and fabrication processes
• Lean or continuous improvement experience a plus
• Proficiency with production scheduling or ERP software
