Primary responsibilities
- Find and develop steel erection work with Midwest general contractors and owners
- Coordinate pursuit strategy on major structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
- Track the competitive landscape, bid timing, and Midwest project pipelines
- Promote an AISC-certified Michigan erector to clients and at industry functions
- Travel the Midwest to support pursuits and deepen client relationships
Qualifications needed
- Prior business development or sales role in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
- Experience landing large Midwest tonnage projects
- Connections with general contractors, fabricators, or owners preferred
- Willing to travel around the Midwest
- Effective communicator who consistently converts pipeline into awards
