Original job description
A well-established and growing industrial manufacturing company in the Chicago area is looking for a Manufacturing Estimator to join its team.
Responsibilities
- Review customer drawings, specifications and quote requests.
- Develop manufacturing routings and cost estimates.
- Estimate materials, machining, labor, tooling and outside services.
- Work with Sales, Engineering and Production to evaluate manufacturability.
- Improve estimating accuracy and identify cost savings.
Qualifications
- At least two years of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Understanding of machining and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
- Quoting or estimating experience preferred.
- Familiarity with GD&T is a plus.
