Litigation Associate Attorney (2+ Years), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

About the opportunity A growing downtown Pittsburgh law firm is looking for a Pennsylvania-licensed Associate Attorney. This is a foundational role. You'll join a robust training program built to help you eventually own your own practice, at a firm where culture, teamwork, and balance matter as much as winning in the courtroom. The workspace is modern and paperless, and the environment is collegial: collaboration is encouraged, and your judgment is trusted.

What you'll do

  • Manage a caseload across multiple practice areas, from intake to resolution, under the supervision of the firm's owner
  • Serve as your clients' main point of contact, advocating for them hard and advising them with honesty and empathy
  • Develop and carry out case strategy based on sound legal research and analysis
  • Represent clients in court
  • Work with colleagues and support staff without unnecessary hierarchy
  • Take part in marketing and networking that fits your practice goals

What you bring

  • At least 2 years of litigation experience in private practice
  • A Pennsylvania law license
  • A Bachelor's degree and a J.D.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Westlaw
  • Strong communication skills with clients, colleagues, and courts
  • A tenacious, practical, solutions-focused approach and a positive attitude

What's offered

  • An achievable billable hour requirement, a competitive salary with quarterly bonuses, and an associate career ladder
  • Health insurance with a low deductible, plus dental, vision, life, and short- and long-term disability coverage
  • 401(k) matching and profit-sharing
  • Generous paid time off and holidays, including a winter break between Christmas and New Year's Day
  • A private window office, a three-person support staff, and paid 24/7 garage parking
  • A gym membership, monthly happy hours, and quarterly professional development events
  • Paid CLE, attorney registration, trade association memberships, and Bench Bar Conference attendance

Salary commensurate with candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
