A well-established Northern Virginia law firm is seeking an Insurance Defense Associate to join its Fairfax office. This is a great opportunity for an early-career attorney who wants hands-on litigation experience and mentorship from seasoned trial attorneys.
What you'll do
- Defend insured clients in a range of civil and insurance defense matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, and written discovery
- Take and defend depositions and attend hearings
- Communicate with clients and insurance carriers on case strategy and status
- Support partners in trial preparation
What you bring
- 1-5 years of litigation experience (newer attorneys with close to a year are welcome to apply)
- Active Virginia Bar license (required)
- Strong writing, research, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage a caseload with growing independence
Compensation and benefits
Competitive base salary, depending on experience. This is a hybrid position based in Fairfax, Virginia.
