Heavy Highway Project Manager / PE / APM

Our client, an established heavy highway contractor, is hiring a Project Manager or PE / Assistant Project Manager in the Roanoke, VA area. You will help run bridge, DOT and sitework projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Manage heavy highway projects including bridges, DOT roadway work and site development
• Own project budgets, schedules, cost tracking and change orders
• Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, suppliers and DOT inspectors
• Review plans, specifications and submittals
• Track quantities and production and report job status
• Keep projects safe, on schedule and on budget

Qualifications

• Experience managing or supporting heavy highway, bridge, DOT or site projects
• APM candidates with solid field or office project experience are welcome
• PE license a plus
• Strong understanding of DOT specifications and documentation
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred
• Strong communication and organization skills
