Heavy Civil Assistant Quality Control Manager

Our client, an established heavy civil contractor, is hiring an Assistant Quality Control Manager for a project in the Eagle Pass, TX area. You'll work alongside the QC Manager to keep the work on spec and well documented.

What you'll do:

• Support the QC Manager in running the project quality program
• Review design and construction documents, drawings, specs and shop drawings against contract tolerances
• Carry out QA/QC through submittals, RFIs, inspections and field testing
• Oversee subcontractor quality compliance
• Maintain quality records and daily construction reports
• Support the site safety program

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years in construction quality control, including 2 to 3 years on heavy civil work
• Hands-on soil and concrete testing experience
• Working knowledge of construction codes and standards
• Strong Excel and computer skills
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Willing to travel to project sites and offices as needed

Compensation:

• Base salary from $110,000 to $125,000, depending on experience
• Health, dental and vision insurance, along with life and disability coverage

• Room to grow into a QC Manager role
