Our client is a well-respected funeral home and mortuary in the North Charleston area looking for a compassionate, experienced Funeral Director to join their team. You'll guide families through one of the hardest times in their lives with care, dignity, and professionalism.
What you'll do:
- Meet with families to arrange services and explain options and pricing
- Plan and direct funerals, memorials, and graveside services
- Coordinate with clergy, cemetery staff, florists, and vendors
- Complete death certificates, permits, and required documentation
- Make sure every service meets South Carolina regulations and the firm's standards
What we're looking for:
- A South Carolina Funeral Director license, or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience directing services and arranging with families
- Strong communication skills and a calm, caring presence
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed
Pay: $70,000-$100,000 per year, depending on experience
