Original job description

Are you a project manager who likes the structure and mission behind federal work? A well-established federal general contractor is growing its team in the Savannah area and needs a Federal Project Manager to lead military and government building projects across coastal Georgia, from preconstruction through closeout. You'll have a strong field team behind you, a steady backlog, and real room to grow.

What You'll Do

  • Lead your federal projects from start to finish, owning the schedule, budget, quality and client relationship
  • Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders and project documentation to USACE and NAVFAC standards
  • Build and update Primavera P6 schedules and keep the critical path on track
  • Track cost, forecast and report monthly to leadership and the government client
  • Work closely with your superintendent, QC manager and safety team to keep every jobsite safe and well run
  • Coach and support an assistant project manager and jobsite office staff
  • Run close-out so every project finishes strong

What You Bring

  • A four-year degree in construction management, building science, engineering or a related field plus 3+ years of construction project management experience, or 5+ years of experience with a degree in another field
  • Experience managing federal, military or other government construction projects, ideally with USACE, NAVFAC or another federal agency
  • Familiarity with FAR clauses, federal submittal and RFI procedures, and RMS/QCS
  • OSHA 10, plus USACE/NAVFAC CQM-C certification and EM 385-1-1 knowledge are a big plus
  • Comfort with Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel and project management software
  • Clear communication and a team-first attitude

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary, bonus and benefits
  • Health and dental insurance, plus company-paid life and long-term disability coverage
  • Paid vacation and holidays and a 401(k)
  • Relocation help if needed
  • Stable, long-term federal work with a team that invests in your growth
