gpac, a recruiting firm with 30+ years in business, is partnered with a well-established company in the structural steel and metals fabrication industry in the Allentown, PA area. Our client is seeking an Estimator / Sales professional to win new work and build customer relationships.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop new business and grow existing customer accounts
- Prepare estimates and proposals for steel and metals projects
- Follow up on bids and negotiate contracts
- Maintain relationships with general contractors, owners, and designers
- Track opportunities and pipeline
Position Essential Job Functions:
- Perform takeoffs and pricing
- Visit customers and attend industry events
- Clarify scope and present proposals
- Coordinate awarded work handoff to project management
- Report sales activity and forecasts
Position Skills:
- 3+ years of estimating or sales experience in steel, metals, PEMB, or construction
- Ability to read construction drawings
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and relationship-focused
- CRM and estimating software experience a plus
