Original job description

A well-established local electrical contractor is looking to add an experienced Electrical Estimator to their team. The company has a strong backlog of local commercial and industrial projects and is looking for someone who can help develop accurate and competitive bids.

This is a great opportunity for an estimator who wants to work with a local contractor and focus on projects in the local market rather than constantly chasing work across different regions.

Complete material and labor takeoffs
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
Develop accurate and competitive project estimates
Prepare bids and proposals

Work closely with Project Managers, Operations, and company leadership
Manage multiple estimates and bid deadlines
Assist with transitioning awarded projects to the Project Management team

Requirements:

3+ years of electrical estimating experience
Commercial and/or industrial electrical construction background
Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications
Strong understanding of electrical materials, labor, and installation methods
Experience with Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, or similar software preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Knowledge of the local electrical construction market is a plus

What’s Offered:

Competitive salary based on experience
Bonus opportunities
Comprehensive benefits package
401(k)
Paid time off and holidays
Strong backlog of local projects
Established local electrical contractor
Long-term growth opportunity
No constant travel

If you're an experienced Electrical Estimator looking to work for a strong local contractor and focus on projects in the area, we'd like to hear from you.
