Electrical Construction Estimator

Position Overview

We are partnering with a growing electrical contractor seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team. This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive estimates for commercial, industrial, and mission-critical electrical construction projects.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical estimating, understands current construction practices, and is proficient with modern estimating software and digital takeoff platforms. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates for commercial, industrial, and mission-critical construction projects.

• Perform digital quantity takeoffs, material counts, labor calculations, and equipment pricing.

• Review blueprints, specifications, drawings, and bid documents to determine project scope.

• Utilize modern electrical estimating software and digital takeoff tools to develop accurate bids.

• Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.

• Develop labor units, material budgets, and project cost breakdowns.

• Identify potential project risks, scope gaps, and cost-saving opportunities.

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, general contractors, and vendors.

• Prepare bid proposals, scope clarifications, and detailed cost summaries.

• Participate in pre-bid meetings, bid reviews, and turnover meetings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical estimating experience preferred.

• Strong understanding of commercial and/or industrial electrical construction.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

• Experience with digital takeoffs and modern estimating software.

• Strong knowledge of electrical materials, labor units, installation methods, and project costs.

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet strict bid deadlines.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction technology platforms.
