The Portland metro has become one of the West Coast's most active data center corridors, with steady mission-critical growth stretching from the Pearl District out to Hillsboro. A respected general contractor is looking for a Data Center Project Manager to help deliver that work. If you like technical builds, a collaborative team and leaving every project better organized than you found it, this one is worth a look.
What You'll Do
- Manage data center projects from preconstruction and buyout through commissioning and turnover
- Own the budget, schedule, cost forecasts, change orders and monthly owner billing
- Be a friendly, reliable point of contact for owners, engineers and trade partners
- Stay ahead of long-lead equipment like switchgear, generators, UPS systems and cooling units
- Work hand in hand with superintendents on safety, quality, phasing and integrated systems testing
- Support and mentor project engineers and assistant project managers
What You Bring
- Project management experience with a general contractor, including data center or mission-critical construction (required)
- A good working knowledge of critical power, cooling, MEP coordination and commissioning
- Strong organization and a knack for keeping cost and schedule on track
- Clear, easygoing communication with owners, designers and field crews
- A degree in construction management, engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
What We Offer
Competitive salary, bonus and benefits, a busy pipeline of mission-critical work in the Portland area, and a team that supports your growth.
