Original job description
A community bank in North Liberty is hiring a Credit Analyst to support its lenders across the North Liberty area and eastern Iowa. You'll work hand in hand with loan officers, and the role offers a path toward lending or credit leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Spread financial statements and tax returns for new loans and renewals
- Analyze and risk-rate commercial and consumer credit lines
- Write concise credit memos for the lenders and loan committee
- Support month-end reporting and regulatory exam requests
- Monitor covenants, document exceptions, and policy compliance
- Help train newer team members on credit procedures
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance from a four-year school
- At least 1 year as a bank credit analyst preferred
- Comfortable with spreadsheets and spreading software
- Excellent interpersonal skills with loan officers and borrowers
- Detail oriented and interested in a lending career
Competitive salary and bonus.
I recruit for banks throughout Iowa and the Midwest and hear about many analyst and credit roles before they reach the market. If this one isn't the right step, reach out anyway, and we can talk confidentially about other paths in banking.
