A community bank in Ottumwa is adding a Credit Analyst to support its lenders across Wapello County and southeast Iowa. You'll partner closely with loan officers on commercial, ag, and real estate requests, and the role offers a clear path into lending or senior credit.
Responsibilities:
- Spread financial statements and tax returns and write thorough credit memos
- Analyze and assign risk ratings to commercial and ag credit lines
- Work hand in hand with loan officers on new requests and renewals
- Help train and mentor newer analysts
- Prepare month-end and regulatory reports
- Support loan review and compliance with policy and regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- At least 1 year of bank credit analysis experience preferred
- Strong Excel, analytical, and writing skills
- Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
- Interest in moving toward lending or a senior credit role
