A community bank in Fairfield is seeking a Credit Analyst to support its loan officers across Jefferson County and southeast Iowa. You'll work hand in hand with lenders on underwriting and risk ratings, with a path toward lending or senior credit.
Responsibilities:
- Spread financial statements and tax returns for business and farm borrowers
- Analyze and assign risk ratings to new and existing credits
- Prepare credit memos for loan officers and loan committee
- Pitch in on month-end, regulatory, and portfolio reports
- Keep loan files consistent with policy and exam standards
- Help train newer staff on credit processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least a year of credit analysis at a bank preferred
- Comfortable with Excel and financial modeling
- Works well alongside loan officers
- Interested in growing into lending or credit leadership
