Our client, a respected transportation and construction engineering firm in Southeast Michigan, is seeking a Construction Engineer / Project Manager to lead MDOT and local agency construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage construction engineering and inspection for MDOT and local agency projects
- Oversee field staff, documentation, testing, and contract administration
- Process pay estimates, change orders, and project records
- Coordinate with agencies, contractors, and design teams
- Apply transportation knowledge from design through final construction
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Michigan
- 8+ years of MDOT or heavy highway and/or bridge construction experience
- Knowledge of MDOT specifications and documentation (FieldManager a plus)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
