Original job description

Construction Defect Litigation Associate Denver, CO

Want to be taking depositions and standing up in court while your law school classmates are still buried in document review? A well-respected Denver litigation firm is adding several associates to its construction practice. This is a specialized, steady niche where the skills you build go with you for your whole career.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Real litigation experience early, including depositions, motions, hearings and trial preparation, not years of doc review
  • Concrete, high-stakes cases involving buildings, engineering and design experts, site inspections and large-dollar claims
  • A specialty that's always in demand, with steady work and expertise that travels well
  • Mentorship from seasoned construction trial lawyers, with real ownership of your cases sooner than at a large firm
  • A growing practice adding multiple seats, with room to grow alongside it

What You'll Do

  • Handle construction defect, contract and payment disputes from early case work through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions and written discovery
  • Take and defend depositions, and work closely with experts
  • Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration and trial

What You Bring

  • 0 to 6 years of litigation experience, with responsibilities matched to your level
  • An active Colorado law license (or eligible)
  • Strong writing and analytical skills
  • Interest in construction, real estate or insurance litigation. Prior construction experience is a plus but not required.

What the Firm Offers

  • Competitive pay scaled to experience
  • Full benefits
  • A collaborative team with a clear path for growth
