A well-regarded concrete contractor with a long record of award-winning work and strong financials is looking for a Project Manager to step into a growing team.
You will lead commercial and light industrial projects from start to finish. That means setting clear direction, keeping communication open with the customer, and holding the project team to high expectations. We want someone with real passion, dedication and accountability who can work alongside the executive team to support growth and the Company's strategic goals.
What you bring:
- 5+ years of experience managing commercial/light industrial projects
- Strong financial management skills and the ability to run every aspect of a project on your own
- Broad knowledge of building systems and construction methods
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications or equivalent experience will also be considered.
What you will do:
- Work with Estimating during the Preconstruction phase
- Read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Oversee subcontractor and vendor procurement, including buyout, scope of work review, contract writing, and insurance and bonding reviews
- Lead the team that handles Submittals, RFIs, Change Order Proposals, Owner Billings, Time Sheet Management, Subcontractor/Vendor Billings and Monthly Reports
- Make sure Owner Billings go out on time by verifying work-in-place quantities and billings from Subcontractors and Suppliers
- Check that monthly cost projections accurately forecast total estimated costs at completion
- Oversee the creation and monitoring of Project Schedules and progress updates
- Guide research and recommendations for drawing interpretation problems, conflicts and errors
- Build long-term relationships with your Team's existing Owners, Architects, Engineers and Subcontractors to find and win future projects
- Mentor less experienced Project Management staff on the daily duties of managing a construction project
What is offered:
- Industry-leading compensation and a complete benefits package
- Lucrative bonus plan
- Positive company culture and work/life balance
