  • Appellate matters

The Role

Attorneys are expected to take an active role throughout the lifecycle of their cases, including:

  • Managing commercial litigation matters from complaint through resolution
  • Drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, and other substantive filings
  • Handling written discovery and document production
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Appearing for hearings and oral arguments
  • Developing case strategy and advising clients on litigation risk
  • Negotiating settlements and drafting settlement-related agreements

  • Working directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of litigation experience
  • Strong commercial and/or business litigation background
  • Ability to independently manage matters and deadlines
  • Meaningful deposition, motion practice, and courtroom experience
  • Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
  • Active Illinois Bar license required
  • Wisconsin or additional state admissions are a plus

The firm also offers:

  • Hybrid work flexibility
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off
  • Opportunity to handle sophisticated matters with significant client contact and responsibility

This is an opportunity for an experienced litigator who wants substantive involvement in their cases, direct client exposure, and the ability to handle complex commercial disputes from beginning to end.
