A community bank in Muscatine is confidentially looking for a Commercial Lender to grow business banking relationships across Muscatine County and eastern Iowa. You'll find new clients, underwrite and structure deals, close loans, and service a growing commercial portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect local businesses and build a pipeline of commercial loan opportunities
- Learn each client's goals and recommend credit and deposit solutions
- Analyze business financials and creditworthiness to structure sound loans
- Write loan memos and coordinate documentation through closing
- Open accounts and cross-sell treasury and deposit services
- Meet growth targets while keeping portfolio quality strong
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
- Commercial lending or business banking experience
- Comfortable presenting proposals to owners and decision-makers
- Experience with underwriting and credit write-ups
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple deals
