Houston, TX | Full Time, Permanent | $80,000 to $120,000

gpac partners with well established commercial mechanical contractors in the Houston market delivering HVAC, sheet metal, piping and controls work for commercial, healthcare, industrial and institutional customers.

About the Role

The Commercial HVAC Estimator builds complete estimates for HVAC and mechanical scopes on new construction and renovation work.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs and detailed cost builds for HVAC and mechanical scopes
• Review plans and specifications for ductwork, piping, equipment, controls, insulation and balancing
• Prepare complete bid packages
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
• Identify value engineering opportunities while protecting margin

Required

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC estimating experience
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications and mechanical details
• Familiarity with HVAC equipment, chillers, rooftop units, pumps, VAV, controls and piping

Preferred

• Experience with estimating software
• Experience with a mechanical contractor

Compensation and Benefits

• $80,000 to $120,000, based on experience
