A well-established general contractor in the Columbus, Ohio market is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction professional to take ownership of field operations and help deliver a diverse portfolio of commercial construction projects.

The company has experience across multiple sectors, including commercial, multifamily, industrial, civic, and institutional construction. They are looking for a motivated field leader who takes pride in project execution, team coordination, safety, and delivering quality work.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily on-site construction operations from project mobilization through completion.

• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.

• Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules to ensure deadlines are met.

• Monitor jobsite safety and enforce established safety procedures.

• Ensure construction activities meet project plans, specifications, and quality standards.

• Work closely with project managers, owners, architects, and other project stakeholders.

• Identify potential project challenges and proactively develop solutions.

• Monitor jobsite progress and provide regular updates on project status.

• Maintain organized jobsite documentation, reports, and daily logs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Construction Superintendent with a commercial general contractor.

• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and project execution.

• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

• Knowledge of construction scheduling, jobsite safety, and quality control.

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage project priorities and maintain a productive jobsite environment.
