- Manufacture complex, tight-tolerance medical device components in accordance with engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
- Perform machine setups including tooling selection, offsets, bar feed setup, and program verification
- Conduct in-process inspection using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, CMM where applicable)
- Ensure all parts meet strict dimensional and cosmetic quality standards (often ±0.0002”–0.0005” tolerances)
- Follow ISO 13485, FDA-regulated manufacturing processes, and internal quality system procedures
- Document production data, inspection results, and process adjustments in compliance with quality system requirements
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions to maintain quality and efficiency
- Collaborate with quality, engineering, and validation teams on process improvements and first article inspections (FAI)
- Maintain clean, controlled, and organized work environment consistent with medical device standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of CNC Swiss machining experience (medical device or other high-precision manufacturing strongly preferred)
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
- Experience working in tight-tolerance manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or Swiss-specific platforms
- Proficiency with precision inspection tools and quality verification methods
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of regulated manufacturing documentation and quality systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in medical device, aerospace, or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with ISO 13485, FDA QSR, or similar quality systems
- CNC programming experience (G-code or conversational Swiss programming)
- Experience with multi-axis Swiss turning centers and live tooling
- Exposure to validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) and first article inspection processes
- Experience working in cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environments
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to lift up to 30–50 lbs occasionally
- Work in environments with coolant, metal chips, and moderate industrial noise while adhering to safety standards
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation based on experience
- Overtime opportunities
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Paid time off and holidays
- Opportunity to work in a high-growth medical device manufacturing environment
- Career advancement into setup, programming, or lead machinist roles
