Original job description
A growing manufacturer in Springfield, IL is adding a CNC Machinist to its day shift. The company builds industrial machinery and equipment, and business is booming. They're growing fast and looking for a skilled machinist who takes pride in setting up and running machines and wants to be part of a team that's going places.

- Set up fixtures and handle part changeovers
- Do first article and in-process inspections with micrometers, calipers, bore gauges and height gauges
- Take care of basic preventative maintenance on your machines
- Run more than one machine at a time when the work calls for it
What you bring
- 3 to 10+ years of CNC machining experience

- Comfortable in a fast-paced job shop or medium-volume production shop
Nice to have

- A track record of troubleshooting scrap and improving cycle times
- Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement
Why apply

- A four-day, 10-hour-plus day shift, with optional Friday and Saturday overtime
- Steady work at a shop that's growing
