Civil Estimator – Brecksville, OH
A civil construction contractor is seeking a Civil Estimator with a background in paving or concrete. This opportunity is suited to an estimating professional with HCSS HeavyBid experience who can develop detailed, accurate project estimates.
Responsibilities*
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to understand project scope.
- Prepare quantity takeoffs and detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
- Use HCSS HeavyBid to develop and organize estimates.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes.
- Identify scope gaps, project risks, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with project teams to support bid preparation and project handoff.
Qualifications
- Background in paving or concrete.
- HCSS HeavyBid experience required.
Additional Suggested Qualifications*
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and cost-analysis skills.
- Clear communication with vendors, subcontractors, and project teams.
Compensation
Up to $120,000.
