Join an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector as its Business Development Manager and help win large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. The job is permanent and full-time, pays $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, and includes Midwest travel.
Responsibilities
- Develop steel erection opportunities with general contractors and owners across the region
- Manage pursuits on large structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
- Watch competitor activity, bid windows, and Midwest project forecasts
- Travel throughout the Midwest to build relationships and advance pursuits
- Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector to clients and industry partners
Preferred background
- Business development or sales experience in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
- Success pursuing large Midwest projects by tonnage
- Relationships with general contractors, fabricators, or owners a plus
- Able to travel across the Midwest
- Strong communicator who converts pipeline into awards
