Business Development Manager - Steel Erector

Bring your structural steel network to an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector. As its permanent full-time Business Development Manager you will chase Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons, earn $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, and travel the Midwest.

What you will do

• Find and develop new steel erection opportunities with owners and general contractors across the Midwest
• Keep tabs on bid schedules, competitors, and upcoming Midwest projects
• Drive strategy on large structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
• Serve as the face of an AISC-certified Michigan erector with clients and at industry functions
• Travel the Midwest to build client relationships and move pursuits toward award

What you bring

• Readiness for regular travel across the Midwest
• An established network with general contractors, fabricators, or owners (preferred)
• Business development or sales experience in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Strong communication skills and a habit of closing the pipeline
• A record of winning large-tonnage Midwest work
