Step into a Business Development Manager role with an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector that pursues large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. Permanent full-time, paying $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, with Midwest travel.
Core responsibilities
- Connect with Midwest general contractors and owners to bring in steel erection work
- Steer pursuits for structural steel packages on jobs of 5,000+ tons
- Monitor bid timing, competitor activity, and the Midwest project pipeline
- Advocate for an AISC-certified Michigan erector in client meetings and industry forums
- Travel the Midwest to keep pursuits moving and relationships strong
What we're looking for
- A business development or sales background in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
- Confidence winning large Midwest tonnage projects
- Existing relationships with general contractors, fabricators, or owners preferred
- Able to travel across the Midwest
- Persuasive communicator who closes pipeline opportunities
