Original job description
Structural steel projects near Alvin need a BIM/VDC Coordinator to drive 3D modeling and digital coordination. You'll link the field, the shop, and the design team, spotting clashes early so they never become costly fixes.
Responsibilities
- Keep models, standards, and project files current and organized
- Develop and manage 3D models using Tekla Structures, Navisworks, and Revit
- Support erection, fabrication, and detailing teams with model-based workflows
- Run clash detection and lead coordination meetings with trades and engineers
- Help improve VDC processes and technology from project to project
Qualifications
- 3+ years of BIM/VDC experience in steel, construction, or engineering
- Understanding of how structural steel is fabricated and erected
- Hands-on with Tekla, Navisworks, and/or Revit
- Clear communication and strong coordination skills
