Grow the pipeline for an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector on Midwest jobs of 5,000+ tons. This permanent full-time Business Development Manager role pays $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives and calls for travel across the Midwest.
Your focus
- Track bid timing, competitor activity, and the regional project pipeline
- Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector in client meetings and at industry events
- Lead pursuits on structural steel packages for projects of 5,000+ tons
- Travel the Midwest to build client relationships and move pursuits toward award
- Find and develop new steel erection opportunities with owners and general contractors across the Midwest
You bring
- Business development or sales experience in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
- A record of winning large-tonnage Midwest work
- Strong communication skills and a habit of closing the pipeline
- Readiness for regular travel across the Midwest
- An established network with general contractors, fabricators, or owners (preferred)
