Avionics Manager – Lead a Growing Avionics Shop

We are representing a respected, growing aviation organization serving general aviation and corporate aircraft owners. This company feels like family: they work hard, keep innovating, and genuinely take care of their people. If you want stable, hands-on work with real variety and leadership that backs you up, read on.

The Role

Ready to lead? This role owns the avionics department: leading technicians, quoting and scheduling installs, keeping projects on time, and staying hands-on with the toughest troubleshooting on GA and business aircraft.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead, schedule, and mentor a team of avionics technicians.
  • Quote, plan, and manage panel upgrades, installs, and repair projects.
  • Serve as technical lead on complex troubleshooting and STC/337 installs.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, repair station procedures, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with customers, parts, and maintenance to meet deadlines.

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years of avionics experience, including 2+ years leading people or projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Garmin, Avidyne, Collins, or Honeywell systems.
  • FAA A&P, FCC license, or repair station experience a strong plus.
  • Customer-facing communication and quoting skills.
  • Organized, accountable, and calm under deadlines.

Why People Stay

  • Stability: Long-term growth, steady workload, and a team that keeps its people.
  • "If It's Broke, Fix It": No cutting corners. Aircraft are maintained safe, squawk-free, and to high standards.
  • Family & Work-Life Priority: Flexibility for early or late launches, with leadership that makes sure you don't miss your family's big moments.
  • Growth: Hands-on variety, training support, and a clear path to more responsibility.
  • Benefits: Competitive pay, overtime opportunity, 401(k), medical, dental, vision, and PTO.

Compensation: {$90-115K} depending on experience, plus overtime opportunity and full benefits.
