Audit Manager - Not-for-Profit
Location: Park Ridge, NJ (New York area offices also considered)
Overview
A nationally ranked, fast-growing accounting, tax and advisory firm is seeking an Audit Manager focused on not-for-profit clients. Park Ridge, New Jersey is among the listed offices (New York area offices also considered).
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple audit engagements for not-for-profit clients from planning through final delivery
- Serve as primary point of contact on engagements and respond to client requests
- Manage, train and mentor associates and review their work for quality and accuracy
- Review audit workpapers, financial statements and reports for compliance with professional standards
- Identify and consult with clients on the impact of new accounting pronouncements
- Draft complex financial statements and related footnote disclosures
- Evaluate internal controls and identify areas of risk or opportunity for improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- CPA required or in progress
- Several years of public accounting audit experience
- Not-for-profit audit experience preferred
- Strong review, coaching and client communication skills
