Audit Manager - Nonprofit
Location: Dayton, OH (or Cleveland, OH)
Overview
A leading national middle-market audit, tax and consulting firm is seeking an Audit Manager for its nonprofit assurance practice, serving trade and membership associations, foundations, social service and cultural organizations, colleges and universities, and private clubs. Dayton, Ohio is a listed office (Cleveland also considered); hybrid.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate audits of financial statements, disclosures and other client deliverables
- Assess risk and design and communicate audit procedures to engagement teams
- Manage multiple engagement teams and prepare end-of-engagement evaluations
- Supervise seniors and supervisors and review their work product
- Maintain year-round client contact and assess the impact of significant developments
- Develop others through training and career advising
- Manage project profitability and support business growth
- Travel about 25% depending on clients
Qualifications
- BS/BA in accounting or equivalent
- Active CPA license (or equivalent credential)
- 5+ years of current or recent public accounting experience
- 4+ years of team lead or in-charge experience on multiple engagements
- Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS and FASB or IFRS
- Record of building profitable client relationships
