Audit Manager / Director
Location: Eau Claire, WI (or other central Wisconsin offices)
Overview
A national professional services firm is seeking an Audit Manager or Director for its central Wisconsin team (Eau Claire, with La Crosse, Marshfield, Stevens Point, Wausau and Tomah also listed). This role plans, supervises and controls all phases of assurance engagements for assigned clients.
Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise and control all phases of service for assigned clients
- Plan the timing, staffing and execution of assurance engagements
- Lead decision-making on assigned engagements and keep engagement leadership informed
- Develop and train staff, resolve problems and evaluate performance
- Prepare engagement letters, discuss terms with clients and estimate fees
- Evaluate internal controls and audit programs prepared by staff
- Monitor time budgets and deadlines, and lead final client meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
- 6+ years of public accounting experience with emphasis on financial statements, audits, reviews and compilations
- Current CPA license required
- Advanced technical knowledge of audit, accounting and tax concepts
- Ability to travel to client sites, including overnight travel
- Strong leadership, communication and client service skills
