Audit Manager
Location: Milwaukee, WI (or Madison, WI)
Overview
A national tax, assurance and advisory CPA firm is seeking an Audit Manager for its Milwaukee, Wisconsin office (Madison also considered). This role is a valued business advisor delivering industry-focused audit and assurance services to middle market clients, working side-by-side with firm leadership and coaching a team of talented staff. Hybrid flexibility is available.
Responsibilities
- Provide assurance and consulting services to industry-focused middle market clients
- Engage with clients throughout the year to understand their business goals and challenges
- Implement testing to assess internal control deficiencies and recommend improvements
- Manage all fieldwork to ensure quality service and timely delivery
- Provide financial statement guidance and business recommendations
- Help manage engagement staffing, billing and collections and meet profitability targets
- Network and build strong relationships internally, with clients and in the community
- Support the growth and development of team members
Qualifications
- 4-year degree
- CPA
- 5+ years of experience providing financial statement auditing services in a professional services firm
- 2+ years of supervisory experience mentoring and counseling associates desired
- Experience serving real estate/construction clients preferred
- Strong management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management and communication skills
- Highly developed software and Microsoft Office skills
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred
