Original job description

Ready to turn your construction management degree into a real career? A growing mechanical contractor is looking for an Assistant Project Manager in Nashville to support big HVAC and piping jobs.

You won't be stuck on the sidelines. You'll help run the day-to-day details of real projects, from cost tracking to site walks, and build the skills that lead to your own projects.

What you'll do

Track project costs, process invoices and help build billing schedules and forecasts
Walk job sites to check that mechanical and plumbing installs follow the approved plans
Help define subcontractor scopes and keep an eye on their schedules and change orders
Contribute to a safe jobsite through inspections and safety planning
Work with field leaders to line up crews, deliveries and equipment
Assist with shop fabrication packages, material quantities and purchasing
Log, route and follow up on RFIs, submittals, drawings and other project documents

What you bring

Up to 2 years of project management experience with a mechanical contractor
Comfort with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Viewpoint and ACC Build, plus Microsoft Office
Familiarity with HVAC and piping systems is a plus
Degree in construction management or mechanical engineering, or equivalent hands-on construction management experience
Some exposure to P6 or Microsoft Project, or eagerness to learn it
Organized, a clear communicator, and comfortable juggling shifting deadlines

Why you'll love it

Mentors who want you to succeed
Room to grow into your own project portfolio
Health, dental, vision and 401(k) benefits
Paid time off, paid holidays and tuition assistance

Pay based on experience. All conversations are confidential, so apply today to learn more.
