Original job description

Got a couple years on federal or public works jobs and want a team that actually grooms you into a PM? Let's talk.

Public and federal work around Chicagoland isn't slowing down. I'm working with an established commercial general contractor that's growing and adding an APM to its project team.

What's in it for you:

  • $85K-$110K base depending on experience
  • A growing team with a real path to Project Manager
  • Steady federal and public works backlog
  • Local Chicagoland projects, no road warrior life

What you'll do:

  • Support the PM on federal and public projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Own submittals, RFIs, change orders and meeting minutes
  • Help with buyout, subcontracts, pay apps and procurement
  • Track schedule, budget and cost
  • Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, architects, owners and inspectors
  • Keep jobs safe, on spec and on schedule

What you bring:

  • 2+ years on federal or public works construction projects
  • Comfort with plans, specs and project documentation
  • Procore or similar project management software
  • A construction management, engineering or related degree is a plus
  • Chicago-area based

Confidential, quick and easy. Send me your LinkedIn or a quick note. Are you available for a quick call?
