Original job description

๐Ÿ’ผ Position: Assistant Project Manager (Entry to Junior Level) | Commercial Construction

๐Ÿ“ Location: Midtown โ€“ Atlanta, GA (Metro Area) ๐Ÿ’ฐ Compensation: Competitive Starting Salary + Performance Bonus + Full Benefits Package

Ready to launch or level up your construction career without getting lost in the crowd?

A lot of entry-level construction roles stick you in a back corner doing data entry, with no real training and no clear path forward. We do things differently.

We are a growing, respected commercial general contractor in Atlanta. We build high-profile projects across the city - including modern offices, healthcare facilities, and industrial spaces. We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager who wants real mentorship, hands-on experience, and a fast track to running their own jobs as Project Manager.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ What Youโ€™ll Do (With Our Guidance)

  • Keep Projects Organized: Track project drawings, submittals, and contractor questions (RFIs) so field teams have what they need to build.
  • Learn the Financials: Assist senior project managers with subcontractor bidding, material orders, and basic cost tracking.
  • Connect Office & Field: Spend time on active job sites working with our superintendents and trade partners to solve everyday project challenges.
  • Coordinate with Partners: Help communicate updates to architects, engineers, and specialty contractors.
  • Build Your Skills: Gain the direct, practical experience needed to step into a lead Project Manager role.

๐Ÿ“ What You Bring

  • Experience Level: 0โ€“2 years of experience in construction (commercial internships, co-ops, field engineering, or related work all count!).
  • Education: A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Construction, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • Core Skills: Ability to read basic architectural and structural plans, strong attention to detail, and comfort using software like Procore, Bluebeam, or Excel (we will train on specific tools).
  • Mindset: Curiosity, a strong work ethic, and a genuine eagerness to learn the commercial construction business from the ground up.
  • Local Focus: Based in or relocating to the Atlanta metro area.

๐Ÿ† Why Start Here?

  • Dedicated Mentorship: You won't be left to sink or swim. Youโ€™ll work alongside experienced PMs and leadership who actively teach you the business.
  • A Clear Future: We promote from within. Our goal is to train you into a full Project Manager running multi-million-dollar jobs.
  • Local Projects: All work is in the greater Atlanta area - no extensive travel, so youโ€™re home every night.
  • Open Culture: Direct access to company leadership in a collaborative, supportive team environment.
