Original job description

A community bank in Brush is seeking an Ag Lender to work with cattle, dairy, and crop producers across Morgan County and the northeastern plains of Colorado. You'll cover new business, underwriting, structuring, closing, and servicing of farm and ranch loans.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new farm and ranch relationships through calls and community events
  • Analyze financials, cash flow, and projections for each operation
  • Structure operating lines and livestock, equipment, and land loans
  • Perform collateral inspections, renewals, and annual credit reviews
  • Introduce deposit and cash management services to ag clients
  • Use FSA guarantees where they strengthen the credit

Qualifications:

  • Animal Science, Ag Business, or Finance degree preferred
  • Prior experience in ag lending or ag credit analysis
  • Knowledge of feedlot, dairy, and irrigated crop operations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with producers and ranch families
  • Detail-oriented and ready to run a full farm and ranch portfolio

Competitive salary and bonus.

I partner with community banks all over Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region and frequently hear about farm and ranch lending roles early. If this one isn't the best match, get in touch anyway, and we can discuss other openings confidentially at your convenience.
