A local bank in Cheyenne Wells is hiring an Ag Lender to work with wheat, milo, and cattle operations across Cheyenne County and the eastern Colorado plains. The role covers prospecting, credit analysis, loan structuring, closing, and portfolio servicing.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new ag borrowers through farm calls and community connections
- Review grower and rancher financial statements and cash flow
- Structure operating, equipment, livestock, and real estate loans
- Handle inspections, yearly reviews, and loan renewals
- Cross-sell deposit and treasury services to ag customers
- Use FSA guaranteed and direct loan programs when appropriate
Qualifications:
- Ag Business, Agronomy, or Finance degree preferred
- Ag lending, ag credit, or production agriculture background
- Understanding of dryland wheat and livestock operations
- Excellent interpersonal skills and dependable follow-through
- Able to cover a large territory with minimal supervision
Competitive salary and bonus.
I partner with banks all over Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region and often know about ag lending positions before they're made public. If this one isn't quite right, get in touch anyway, and we can talk confidentially about other farm and ranch roles.
