Original job description

A community bank in Eaton is confidentially seeking an Ag Lender to serve dairy, cattle, and irrigated crop operations across Weld County and northern Colorado. You'll handle new business, underwriting, structuring, closing, and servicing.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new farm, dairy, and ranch relationships through visits and referrals
  • Review dairy and producer financials, cash flow, and repayment ability
  • Structure operating lines plus livestock, equipment, and land loans
  • Carry out collateral inspections, annual reviews, and renewals
  • Cross-sell deposit and cash management services to ag clients
  • Bring FSA loan programs into credit requests when useful

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Ag Business, Dairy Science, or Finance is a plus
  • Experience in ag lending, farm credit, or production agriculture
  • Understanding of dairy, feedlot, and irrigated crop operations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and timely follow-up with producers
  • Self-motivated and well organized with a big territory

Competitive salary and bonus.

I work with community banks all over Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region and often hear about farm and ranch lending openings before they're public. If this isn't the right match, get in touch anyway, and we can discuss other ag positions in confidence.
